Comprehensive Digestive Disease Centre
The proposed Digestive Disease Centre under consideration by the TTHSI will be a niche within the local and regional health sector whereby patients have access to advanced medical care for digestive related disorders. It is intended that the centre will provide both clinical (inpatient, outpatient and consultative) and research services, including inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, liver disease, general gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy.
Operations of the centre will be characterised by advanced equipment and systems, well-planned and maintained physical infrastructure, advanced clinical research and leadership in clinical practice, community education pertaining to the centre’s specialty areas, and an ability to attract, retain and continuously develop capable, skilled and dedicated staff. |
